The RS variant of the legendary Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution’s is the lightweight more ‘hardcore’ variant which was only available in Japan. The RS does without the paddle-shift and super-trick chassis electronics in favour of a five-speed manual and good old mechanical diffs.



Engine modifications:

The engine was built by SAR Turbotechnik and mapped by Anthony at Idigo GT/Cliftons and has had the popular rod job modification. The 4B11T engine featured in the Evo X is a capable motor but the connecting rods are a known weakness especially for those looking to push beyond 400bhp/400lbft, a rod failure causes catastrophic engine damage which usually requires sourcing a new engine, our Evo X Rod Job allows you to safely run up to 550bhp & 550lbft (with supporting mods) without having to worry about rod failure. The rods can be changed in situ, whilst retaining the standard pistons which are nicely bedded into the bores.

Fitted with an MHI Billet Turbo one of the most highly recommended evo X upgrade Turbos by most of the world’s top Evo tuners.

This new turbo represents Mitsubishi's approach to a high-performance bolt on turbo for the Evo X. The quality is OE as you'd expect, the engineering inside this journal bearing version is more than capable of giving the turbo a long trouble-free life even with its increased wheel diameters. The perfect turbo to match structural limits of the standard Evo X engine with steel rod upgrade.

The turbine wheel is a new TF06-07 mated to an all new billet 18KX3RC billet compressor wheel co-designed by Forced Performance. The compressor cover has also been redesigned and features a 3" inlet and surge ports. The stock wastegate actuator has been upgraded in favour of this new MHI high pressure 18PSI actuator. What does this mean for you? A stock frame turbocharger, designed by the best in the business, manufactured by the company that built your car, that's capable of stock like spool, and producing around 54LB a minute.
