Vehicle inspections
Here we have an R34 GT-R we were asked to inspect on behalf of a client.
The vehicle was in very poor condition with rust penetrating the top skins of the strut tops which means a complete rebuild of the towers.
Exterior and underside had also been painted to a very poor standard, masking other potential issues with the car.
All in all, a very poor example that only demonstrates the importance of vehicle inspections before bidding.
Auction gradings should be taken as a rough guide to the actual true condition of the car.
We have seen Grade 4.5 cars that should have been Graded 3, vice versa some lower graded cars that should have been awarded higher scores... It's all very random and this is why we stress the importance of our independent staff inspcting the cars.
