Toyota GR Yaris Circuit Spec – 400bhp+ Track Weapon


HJA are delighted to offer this incredible Toyota GR Yaris Circuit Pack recently taken in part exchange.

 

This is not your average GR Yaris. Running a hybrid turbo setup and Motec ECU, it delivers a staggering 400–420bhp, transforming this already capable hot hatch into a full-blown street and track weapon. Point it at a corner, and it simply sticks — the handling is razor sharp, confidence-inspiring, and utterly addictive.

 

Engine & Performance

Under the bonnet sits a meticulously tuned 1.6-litre G16E-GTS, featuring Kelford EZ camshafts with matching valve springs, a Weldspeed inlet manifold, and a Hybrid Turbo. Engine management is handled by a Motec ECU, fine-tuned by renowned specialist Fraser Mackellar.

Remote data logging and adjustment capability are included, along with the required plug-and-play electronics.

 

A HEL oil cooler and Burger Motorsport intercooler with oversized charge pipes ensure temperatures stay under control, while the Milltek Sport decat and downpipe paired with a custom RP Motorworks OPF-delete exhaust provide an intoxicating soundtrack. Optional baffles are included if you prefer a quieter setup.

 

The rev limit is raised to 7,750rpm, and with the Drenth gear kit, the car now achieves a top speed of 136mph at 7,000rpm. Dyno sheets from JFAutomotive show the car’s steady development through each tuning stage, peaking at around 420bhp after final calibration.


Chassis & Suspension

Handling is where this car truly shines. Equipped with Ohlins suspension (installed ~2,000 miles ago, replacing Nitron units previously fitted by Litchfield), the setup offers exceptional control and compliance.

·         Front adjustment: 30 clicks, currently set halfway for a supple yet planted road feel.

·         Rear adjustment: 60 clicks, set at 30 for ideal balance.

·         Track setup: +6–7 clicks for precision and immediate turn-in, with the diff in 50/50 track mode.


The chassis has been comprehensively upgraded with DNA Racing components, including adjustable top mounts, front adjustable wishbones, rear billet adjustable upper struts, and a mid-section fabricated brace — all contributing to phenomenal geometry and chassis rigidity.


Braking, Wheels & Tyres

Stopping power comes from floating EBC rotors with new BlueStuff pads (front and rear freshly fitted). Additional cooling ducts and carbon fibre shims keep fade at bay under hard use.


·         225/40/18 wheels fitted with Nankang AR-1 tyres (on GR Circuit wheels)

·         Titanium wheel nuts torqued to 120Nm

·         20mm spacers all round

·         Race wheels include TPMS; road wheels can be retrofitted if desired

·         Optimum tyre pressures: 29psi all round


Drivetrain & Underside

The rear differential benefits from an additional cooling duct and Syvecs diff controller that automatically monitors and adjusts temperature during extended track sessions. The underside has been fully Lanoguard-treated, ensuring excellent long-term protection.
