HJA is excited to introduce a true track-bred monster—the Material Auto Factory and Tamon Design Toyota Supra RZ-S. This is no polished show car; it wears its battle scars with pride, a testament to its relentless pursuit of speed. Purpose-built from the ground up, this Supra has one mission: to dominate the track. And it does, with blistering speed and performance that leave competitors in the dust.

 

[Record-Breaking Performance]

 

This Supra has proven its track credentials with jaw-dropping lap times: an astounding 57.586 seconds at Tsukuba Circuit and 1:46.394 seconds at Fuji Speedway. For those familiar with these tracks, these times are blistering.



To put this into perspective, here’s how it stacks up against some supercar heavyweights at Tsukuba:

 

- McLaren Senna (P15): 1:00.12

- Porsche 911 GT3 RS (991): 1:00.70

- Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera: 1:01.60

This Supra is not just quick; it’s legendary in the Japanese Time Attack community, frequently featured in outlets like Web Option and Rev Speed.

 

[The Powerhouse Under the Hood]

The engine is where the magic starts. Material Auto Factory swapped the stock setup for a series of high-performance components. A custom-prepared crankshaft, HKS forged pistons, and Carillo connecting rods work in tandem with oversized pistons, pushing increased displacement to feed an HKS T04Z turbo.

 



Material Auto Factory didn’t stop at the basics. They meticulously processed the engine block and head, optimizing oil and water galleries while porting and polishing the intake and exhaust ports for maximum airflow. Even the oil pump was redesigned to handle the constant track demands, ensuring peak performance lap after lap.

 

[Turbocharged Airflow]

Feeding air into the beast is an HPI intake, with the HKS T04Z turbo pushing it through HKS intercooler piping and a Type R front-mount intercooler. Twin HPI oil coolers ensure that temperatures stay manageable, even during punishing laps.



[Upgraded Drivetrain]

The gearbox has been upgraded with a brand-new unit from Material SPL, paired with an ORC triple-plate clutch and a lightened flywheel for quicker shifts. An OS Super Lock LSD ensures power is distributed efficiently to the wheels.


[Stopping Power]

To bring this track missile to a halt, Material SPL fitted Alcon 4-pot front brake calipers with massive Dixel 355mm rotors. Stainless steel brake lines and a Cusco brake master cylinder stopper further enhance stopping precision, providing confidence in any racing scenario.



[Aero Excellence: Tamon Designs GT1 Package]

The real standout feature is the Tamon Designs GT1 aero package, created specifically for this Supra. Beyond providing enormous amounts of downforce, the car has undergone a carbon-fiber diet. The bonnet, front bumper, canards, front diffuser, dry carbon doors, and rear hatch (replacing the rear screen) are all crafted from lightweight materials.

 

Completing the aggressive look are FRP front wings, side skirts, rear over fenders, and the pièce de résistance—the massive GT500 Lexus SC430 dry carbon wing.

 



[Balanced for the Track]

Offsetting the weight of the six-point roll cage, the Supra’s curb weight is brought down to around 1,354 kg thanks to the lightweight carbon fibre components and stripped-back interior, including a Recaro bucket seat.

 

Aragosta coilovers, fine-tuned through countless hours of trackside testing, provide the perfect suspension setup. The result is a Supra that’s balanced and controlled in all conditions, allowing drivers to push the limits with confidence.
