Midori is a tuning shop based in Yokohama Japan that specializes in Nissan Skyline GT-R’s. Midori Seibi has been in business for 45 years, Owner Yoshinaga San used to work at a Nissan dealer and started up his own Nissan tuner shop.

Midori are well known for their White/Green colour scheme and have built some of Japan’s finest tuned street/Track spec GT-R’s. As this a road registered car in Japan its sent yearly for inspections, Midori retained the stock look of the engine bay as requested by the owner. The oem plus looking engine bay has some hidden secrets though.



Metering the intake Midori upgraded the mafs to R35 GT-R units. These send feedback to the custom tuned Midori cpu, carefully crafted ignition and fuel maps allow the engine to boost safely to 1.4bar seeing close to 500ps, a real sweet spot for a street tuned GT-R.

Concealed beneath the oem twin Turbo pipe lay two HKS GT-SS Turbo chargers perfectly matched with Midori spec custom cams. The turbos snails exit into a Midori stainless steel down pipe and into a refreshingly stealthy Midori cat back titanium exhaust system.



On the inlet side 555cc Denso injectors and a Nismo FPR are fed by a high flow custom Midori spec in tank fuel pump. The eagle eyes out there will spot the discreet stainless steel braided hoses beneath the intake manifold, these lead to the nose cone where a HKS oil cooler kit resides. Midori also swapped out the Stock R34 GT-R radiator for a meatier more capable Calsonic counterpart.


When it comes to suspension there’s not many better choices than Aragosta for a street car, these have been custom spec’d by Midori and offer excellent performance characteristics without sacrificing ride quality.


It was graded 4 at USS Tokyo which means the car is free from any accident history and the mileage is fully verified. It comes with some of the most detailed service history/tuning receipts we’ve ever seen. The car has been meticulously maintained and we don’t use those words lightly, there are 15 pages of receipts from Midori totalling a staggering 8 million JPY or approx. £53,000 of parts and labour.



Exterior has been treated to an array of Nismo aero including the Nismo Z tune front bumper which really sets off the whole car from the outset.



Interior is basically stock, with the addition of a lush Alcantara/leather Mines steering wheel finished off with red stitching, it looks so at home it could easily pass off as a Nissan optional extra. Other small classy touches such as the Midori Golden tag and the group A inspired accelerator pedal are subtle reminders you’re driving something a bit special.



As you can see from the pics the chassis has been kept in fantastic condition, with no jack-up dents on the inner or outer rails. Another pleasant point to mention it also had a valid shaken before it left Japan; this means the car had passed the stringent Japanese testing which is a real testament to how well it has been maintained over the years.
