Arriving soon at HJA is this superb March 2024 Toyota GR Corolla RZ, finished in one of our favourite colours for these cars – 1L5 Precious Metal.

It has covered just 4,304 km from new and was purchased in Japan as an exceptional Auction Grade 5A, one-owner example.

The GR Corolla takes the same basic G16E-GTS 1.6-litre three-cylinder turbo philosophy that made the GR Yaris so successful and turns things up another level. In Japanese RZ specification, it produces 304PS and 370Nm, paired exclusively in this generation with a 6-speed iMT manual gearbox and Toyota’s selectable GR-FOUR AWD system.

This isn’t simply a powerful Corolla.

The RZ received front and rear Torsen LSDs, 4-pot front and 2-pot rear opposed brake callipers, BBS 8.5J forged 18-inch wheels and 235/40R18 Yokohama ADVAN Apex tyres from the factory.

And then there’s the styling – swollen arches, bonnet vents, aggressive front end and that brilliant triple-exit exhaust. It has a lot of presence in person without trying too hard.

The Japanese auction sheet is particularly strong: Grade 5A, one owner and only 4,298 km at the time of auction, with the car now showing 4,304 km.
